Here is this week's submission for the SpaceBooger One Panel of Pain!
That's Piledriver of the Wrecking Crew getting plowed by a crane operated by Nighthawk (off panel). And yep, that's Luke Cage below who had temporarily joined up with the irregular group! This panel is courtesy of Defenders (vol. 1) #18 from 1974 -- written by Len Wein and penciled by Sal Buscema. (Couldn't 'ya tell? There's that classic trademark "Buscema spittle" between Piledriver's teeth!)
The issue is an all-out slug fest! If you like non-stop action, this ish is for you.

That is a great movie. I stopped reading comic book a few years ago because I could not take the silliness of the industry anymore. When I read your post I totally agree with your feelings.
